For this project we were given the task of creating a fictional country using specific elements of assigned real countries.  I was allowed to grab inspiration from Cyprus and Greek mythology and, after hours of research and digging, I ended up naming my country “Kandros”, which comes from the greek “andros” meaning “without water”.
The concept for the country evolved from the idea of having no water and ended up being an industrialized city where, as a fun fictional element, the population is only machines and oil-fueled robots.
The tone for the branding of the flag, map and currency became a minimalistic representation of oil spills and circuits, and was kept in a black and white format to give it a grim and polluted look.
